Follow Kate Community Guidelines

Make plans. Be good to people.

Follow Kate exists to make it easier to get people together.

These Guidelines apply to profiles, Plans, stops, invitations, suggestions, images, and other activity on Follow Kate.

1. Respect consent and privacy

Plans are social. People's whereabouts are personal.

Do not share someone's current location without permission, use Plans to monitor or track someone, post private personal information without consent, pressure someone to reveal where they are, circumvent blocks/privacy settings, or use Follow Kate to stalk or intimidate.

If someone removes you, blocks you, leaves a Plan, or says no, respect it.

2. Don't harass people

Do not threaten, bully, repeatedly contact someone who wants no contact, intimidate, shame, sexually harass, or encourage others to target someone.

Disagreement is allowed. Harassment isn't.

3. No hate or targeted abuse

Do not promote violence, hatred, dehumanization, or targeted abuse based on protected characteristics.

4. Be who you say you are

Do not impersonate another person, create deceptive accounts, falsely represent a business or organization, mislead users for financial/personal gain, or deliberately falsify invitations/Plans to deceive people.

5. No scams or spam

Do not use Follow Kate for phishing, fraudulent promotions, repetitive unsolicited messages, deceptive links, malware, account harvesting, pyramid schemes, or unwanted commercial solicitation.

6. Keep Plans lawful

Do not use Follow Kate to organize, facilitate, promote, or coordinate illegal activity.

7. Don't create dangerous situations

Follow Kate may help plan nightlife, restaurants, travel, outdoor activities, family outings, events, and other experiences.

Do not intentionally use the Service to lure people into unsafe situations or encourage conduct likely to cause serious physical harm.

Maps and walking suggestions are planning tools, not guarantees of safety.

8. Alcohol and age-restricted activities

Follow Kate does not sell alcohol or verify venue entry requirements.

If a Plan involves alcohol or another age-restricted activity, users are responsible for complying with local law and venue rules.

Never pressure another person to drink or participate in an activity they do not want.

9. Respect other people's content

Only upload content you have the right to share.

Do not post stolen photos, copyrighted material without permission, someone's private images without consent, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content intended to exploit or humiliate another person.

10. Protect the Service

Do not attempt to break into accounts, exploit vulnerabilities, distribute malware, automate abusive activity, scrape private user information, circumvent technical restrictions, or interfere with Follow Kate's operation.

Security issues should be reported to hi@followkate.com rather than exploited.

11. Reporting

Use Follow Kate's reporting/blocking tools where available or contact hi@followkate.com.

Do not knowingly file false reports to harass another user.

12. Blocking

Blocking is a personal boundary.

Do not create alternate accounts or use another person's account to evade someone's block.

13. Enforcement

Depending on circumstances, we may remove content, issue warnings, restrict features, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, preserve evidence, cooperate with lawful authorities, or take other reasonable steps to protect users or the Service.

We may consider severity, context, intent, history, and risk of harm.

14. Emergency situations

Follow Kate is not an emergency service and does not continuously monitor user activity.

If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service directly.

15. Changes

These Guidelines may evolve as Follow Kate grows.

Important changes may be communicated to users and may require acceptance of updated policies.
